ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଶାମୁୟେଲଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, "ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେତକୋଳ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଶୋକ କରିବ? ମୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା ରୂପେ ପ୍ରତ୍ଯାଖ୍ଯାନ କରିଛି। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଶିଙ୍ଗ ତୈଳ ରେ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିଗ୍ଭଲ, ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବୈଥ୍ଲହମରେ ୟିଶୀ ନାମକ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଠାଇବି। କାରଣ ତାହାର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ରମାନ୍ଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମୁ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ରାଜା ଦେଖିଅଛକ୍ସ୍ଟ।"

And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
